West Bromwich Albion failed to build on what was an impressive opening day win against Nottingham Forest, after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Millwall on Saturday.

After making four new signings on Deadline Day, expectations were high amongst the Baggies faithful ahead of their first home game of the 2019/20 campaign, where they hosted a Millwall side that also won on the opening day of the campaign.

Chris Willock, Matheus Pereira, Grady Diangana and Charlie Austin were all brought in on the final day of the transfer window, however were was no place in the squad for any of those four new additions at the weekend.

Instead, Slaven Bilic named an unchanged team to the side that won 2-1 at the City Ground, and after an hour of constant pressure, they found a breakthrough through an Alex Pearce own-goal.

But after squandering numerous chances up top, one of their best chances coming through Kenneth Zohore, Millwall levelled through Matt Smith with 15 minutes to play - the game finishing 1-1.
