Andy Yiadom is Paul Clement's first signing as manager.

He joins the club as a free agent after running down his contract with Barnsley. Yiadom was a target for other Championship clubs, and nearly left the club last summer but a move to Huddersfield Town fell through.

The 26-year old is more than capable at this level having proven himself at the Tykes over the years, although he wasn't able to stop them from getting relegated. He provides Clement with another option for the right-back role alongside Chris Gunter.

The 26-year-old has worked his way up the English Football League ladder, so he will bring the necessary drive to the team as they look to improve on what has been a poor season for the Royals.
