Plenty of Ipswich Town fans have reacted to Luke Garbutt's tweet after the defender made his return to action for the club in their 1-0 victory over Milton Keynes Dons.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Tractor Boys on a season-long loan from Everton in July (via BBC Sport), had missed the previous five league games due to injury.

Brought into the starting eleven by manager Paul Lambert for the clash at Stadium MK, Garbutt delivered an assured defensive performance to help his side maintain their unbeaten record in the third-tier.

Ipswich made a bright start to the game as James Norwood went close before Jon Nolan opened the scoring by converting from Emr Huws' cross.

The Tractor Boys should have then doubled their lead through Kayden Jackson yet the forward was unable to beat goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.

Although the Dons pushed for an equaliser in the second-half, Tomas Holy produced a number of superb saves to secure all three points for his side.

Following the clash, Garbutt tweeted: "Quality shift tonight from the boys, delighted to come back in after my injury and get three points!

"Travelling fans were top draw once again, we go again Saturday."

Upon seeing the defender's post, plenty of Ipswich fans reacted in a positive manner on Twitter.
