Wolves are on their way to the Premier League after a fantastic season in the Championship.

And with promotion already secured and the league title looking likely, Wolves will already be dreaming about next season in the top flight.

In complete honesty, Wolves do not need to do much business this summer at all as they have a very strong squad in every department.

But perhaps a handful of new players coming in this summer would add competition for places and the squad depth that Wolves will need to push for a top ten spot rather than be fighting against relegation next season in the top flight.

Most of Wolves' transfer business over the last couple of years has relied upon super agent Jorge Mendes and most of the imports have been Portuguese.

While this transfer policy has worked wonders, Wolves also need to meet the FA's criteria for British players in their squad and they might look to improve their current homegrown players and bring in better ones.

Here are four English players Wolves should consider buying.

There have been recent rumours linking Wolves with Jack Wilshere and if he can stay fit, that would be an excellent purchase.

The 26-year-old has so much talent on the ball and his range of passing would set up so many chances for Wolves' lethal attack.

Wolves need some strength in depth at right back and if Fulham fail to go up, they should take Ryan Fredericks with them to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old was named in the EFL and PFA Championship Team of the Year and he would be available on a free transfer this summer.

With Southampton's relegation to the Championship looking increasingly likely, Wolves should poach James Ward-Prowse.

The 23-year-old is a constant threat with his range of passing and set-piece specialism.

He would be a real asset to Wolves' squad and he has loads of experience at such a young age.

Daniel Sturridge needs to leave Liverpool as his career is stalling there and he is currently out on loan at West Brom, where he has been injured for the most part.

If Wolves can keep the England international fit, he can easily be their leading marksman next year and fire them to the top ten.
