The coming summer is shaping up into a huge one for Leeds United, who look set to oversee a big change in personnel.

Leeds have just two victories to their name in 2018, which has left the Whites in mid-table and ruing a missed opportunity to challenge for the play-offs.

Paul Heckingbottom’s playing squad have let him down in recent weeks, with some really lacklustre performances.

Friday night’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa saw a number of poor contributions, particularly from Leeds’ attacking players, including the likes of Caleb Ekuban and Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Leeds’ recruitment strategy last summer led them abroad, bringing the likes of Ekuban and Lasogga to Elland Road. That duo haven’t impressed in West Yorkshire, with Leeds’ supporters hoping to see domestic recruitment take centre stage in the summer.

With that in mind, we take a look at FOUR English players that Leeds should be taking a look at this summer…

Lansbury is on the fringe at Aston Villa, with the midfielder’s role extremely limited.

Leeds need to improve their options in central midfield alongside Adam Forshaw and Ronaldo Vieira, with Lansbury a perfect option.

At the right price, Leeds could lure him away from Villa Park.

Batth has been Wolves’ club captain this season, helping Nuno Santo’s side to promotion.

However, is opportunities have been limited in a back-three, with promotion potentially opening the door for him to depart.

The central defender would be a good addition at Elland Road.

Hugill could well be available on-loan from West Ham United in the summer, according to Football London.

A move back to the Championship seems on the cards for the 25-year-old, who would provide Leeds with the attacking outlet they have been missing this season.

Palmer has had spells with Huddersfield Town and Derby County in the Championship, impressing for both.

In the summer, the forward will return to Chelsea, where his first-team opportunities will again look limited.

If another loan move to the Championship is looking likely, Leeds need to swoop.
