Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw has given an update on his recovery from injury, sharing a video of him running on Instagram.

The 26-year-old has been missing since mid-November after limping off in a defeat to Brentford at Griffin Park and could now return earlier than initially expected.

"Another big step on the road to recovery!" He wrote on Instagram.

"The comeback's always stronger than the setback @millwallfcinsta ⚽️????????❤️"

Bradshaw made the move to the Den back in the summer on an initial loan from Barnsley but failed to score before picking up his injury.

Despite the setback, however, Neil Harris and the powers that be at the club still decided to follow through and sign the striker permanently in January as had been agreed.

The Lions remain in a relegation scrap with last season's play-off push feeling a long time ago now.

They now sit in 20th place and just five points ahead of Reading who occupy the final spot in the drop zone.

The verdict

This will be a big encouragement to the club and their fans.

Although Bradshaw did not score for the club before getting injured, they are still in desperate need of as much firepower as they can get.

They are one of the lowest scoring sides in the division and that will need to change if they are to push clear of a relegation scrap.
