Stoke City supporters have taken to social media to debate what they think Jack Butland's current value is in the transfer market, and whether they would sell him in the January transfer window.

Butland has endured a torrid campaign so far this season, with the England international making a number of high profile mistakes during Stoke's opening 16 matches in the Championship, with his performance in a 3-1 defeat at Preston North End back in August seeing him drop out of the starting line-up in favour of Adam Federici.

Nathan Jones did elect to recall Butland back into his starting line-up following back to back defeats against Leeds United and Birmingham City, but although the keeper kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw at Brentford another error in a 3-2 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest saw Jones lose faith in him for the last few matches of his tenure.

However, following back to back defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall, Jones was sacked, and Butland was brought in to the starting line-up against West Bromwich Albion - and the England international kept his place for the win at Barnsley in Michael O'Neill's first game in charge of the club last time out.

Stoke's new manager, though, could still elect to cash in Butland in January if they were to receive an acceptable offer for the keeper, whose value will surely have decreased due to his poor form at the start of the campaign - and many Potters supporters believe the time could well be right to sell him in the winter window.

Here, then we take a look at what Stoke fans have been saying about Butland's potential value on social media...
