Wales Online are reporting that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker to Anfield as he looks to bolster his squad for next season.
He is also reportedly set to step-up his interest in Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm, having worked with both players during his time at Swansea.
Cardiff have accepted it is unlikely that Caulker will want to play Championship football next season, but will be looking to recoup the £9 million that they paid for the defender to prise him away from Tottenham Hotspur last year.
Rodgers has previously shown interest in the young defender, but found a move impossible due to Spurs not wishing to sell to a top six rival.
Aged just twenty two, the London born centre half as already made close to 150 appearances through loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol City and Swansea as well as his two permanent clubs Tottenham and Cardiff.
