Ings, 21, has been attracting interest from a whole host of clubs, including Liverpool and Southampton, after a brilliant year which saw him crowned Championship Player of the Season.

Speaking to [football] direct news, the former Bournemouth striker said: “When papers are doing well theres always going to rumours of interest from other clubs, and of course its flattering, but I don’t take any notice and just focus on my football.”

The striker scored 21 goals in 40 appearances last season, and was instrumental in the Burnley side that surprised the nation and won promotion to the Premier League after finishing second.

He finished the campaign as the fifth top-scorer in the Championship and has been selected for the England U21 squad which will compete in the Toulon Tournament this summer, but has put his individual success down to the efforts of his Burnley teammates.

“Its not about me as an individual, its been a real team performances that’s made me so successful this season.”

Despite rubbishing rumours of a move out of Turf Moor, Ings is still sure to be attracting a number of clubs this summer and The Clarets will face a real battle to keep hold of their star man.
