Sergi Canos believes he is ready to impress Jurgen Klopp after an impressive loan stint with Brentford, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Spaniard was in dazzling form at Griffin Park, emerging as a tricky winger for the Bees in what was an inconsistent campaign on the whole.
He scored seven goals and registered four assists across his 38 games in West London, earning himself a call up to the Spanish under-19 squad.
Though he established himself as a firm fan’s favourite with the club, it appears his stay with Brentford will be a brief one.
The Reds are not currently blessed with natural width following the sale of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City and the loan of Lazar Markovic to Turkey.
A former Barcelona academy player, the 19-year old has now targeted impressing Klopp at Anfield as he bids to break into the first-team.
The German coach has already given the younger talent at Anfield a chance during his short tenure so far.
‘I wanted to show Klopp that I’m ready to play for Liverpool and every day is a challenge so I learn this and I think I can take it, he told the Echo.
‘After every game of Liverpool, Klopp gives a hug to every single player – I want to be one of them, it’s my dream.’
‘When I was at Barca, I saw the quarter-final between Malaga and Borussia Dortmund, and I saw Klopp on the bench for Borussia and I was like ‘I hope one day I can work with Klopp’.
‘I have the chance and I want to make it.’
