According to The Sun, Liverpool are preparing to offer young winger Ryan Kent a new deal to fend off reported interest from Leeds United.
Ryan Kent is currently enjoying a profitable loan spell with Leeds United’s Yorkshire neighbours and Championship rivals Barnsley, where he has struck two goals and added two assists this season.
The exciting starlet also previously had a loan spell with Coventry City last season and is highly rated by Liverpool.
The England under-20 international is attracting interest from Leeds, who are aiming to improve their options in the attacking midfield regions.
Leeds face competition from Premier League outfit Bournemouth, who have also been sniffing around the talented 20-year-old as they seek a permanent deal.
Kent still has a Liverpool contract for another two years but Leeds manager Garry Monk has already opened talks about his permanent signing.
Liverpool are keen to keep their academy graduate though, who has one cup appearance under his belt, and they will offer him an improved deal.
