Liverpool could be set to complete a deal for Notts County goalkeeper Fabian Spiess, with the German goalkeeper currently training with the Reds, according to the Nottingham Post.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper is highly-rated at Meadow Lane but he has subsequently found it hard to attain first-team football this season.
Spiess has been training at the Merseyside outfit for the past three days and is aiming to earn a contract at Anfield in the summer.
League One strugglers Notts County have found the form of ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll essential to their season.
Ricardo Moniz’ Notts County side currently sit in 20th spot in Sky Bet League One, joint on points with 21st placed Crawley Town who occupy the last spot in the relegation zone.
The club face a colossal match on Sunday against Justin Edinburgh’s Gillingham away at the Priestfield Stadium, with a win effectively keeping them in the third tier of English football, and a defeat possibly getting them relegated.
