Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has hinted that he could be willing to link up with Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom in the future.
The 21-year-old played under Heckingbottom at Barnsley last season, and is now on loan with Lee Johnson’s promotion chasing Bristol City side.
The youngster played an impressive forty-seven times under Heckingbottom at the Tykes, and told The Bristol Post via Leeds Live of his admiration for the manager.
“Yeah he was a fantastic manager,” Kent said. “That was probably my biggest season so far in terms of development.
“He really allowed me to go and express myself and I wish him all the best at Leeds.”
Kent is a winger held in extremely high regard by Anfield chiefs, who view him as having the potential to one day break into the first-team set up at the club.
However at the age of twenty-one, the next six months with the Robins are essential for the player to prove that he can return to Liverpool and challenge.
Should he fail, then another loan move could be on the cards, and Heckingbottom and Leeds fans are likely to welcome the player to Elland Road with open arms.
