Liverpool midfielder, Ovie Ejaria is edging closer to securing a season-long loan move back to Reading according to the Reading Chronicle.

Ejaria spent the second-half of last season on loan with the Royals, and has seemingly made a good impression on Jose Gomes heading into the summer.

The young midfielder made 16 appearances for the Berkshire-based side, and he’ll be hoping to build on some impressive performances heading towards the end of last year’s campaign.

It’s highly unlikely that Ejaria will be able to force his way into the Liverpool team anytime soon, and Jurgen Klopp will be keen to see him flourish out on loan for another season.

Reading will be hoping they can improve on last season, as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship.

But since a number of loanees joined the club back in January, there was a remarkable turnaround in form, which saw them survive.

Plenty of the Madjeski Stadium faithful will be keen to see as many of the loanees from last season return to the club, and Ejaria’s arrival is likely to be met with a large amount of praise from Reading supporters.

The Verdict:

What a brilliant bit of business this will be for the Royals.

Ejaria showed real promise towards the end of his loan spell with Reading last season, and he’ll feel as though he has unfinished business in the Championship.

He suits their style of play, and would be a real coup for the Royals, if they were to land his signature for another season.
