Multiple Championship clubs are interested in signing Liverpool's Herbie Kane, report Goal.

Brentford, Hull and Charlton all want to sign the midfielder on loan, and it is believed a deal will be completed by the end of the week.

Kane had a very successful year at Doncaster last season, his impressive performances helped Rovers into the play-offs and caught the eye of a number of clubs.

Grant McCann was a big factor in his success, and showed faith in him by making him a key component of the midfield - he played 49 times in total, an impressive return for a 20-year-old.

Such was his importance to McCann's style that the now Hull manager wants him back, and due to their success, Kane could be eager to reunite and make a move to the Tigers.

However, interest from Brentford and Charlton means the deal is far from straight forward. Brentford's passing style would be well suited to Kane and Liverpool may also feel it is the best place for him to continue his development, whilst Charlton would also be able to offer him a key role within the team.

The Verdict

Kane will be an exciting addition for all of the clubs mentioned. Hull would be the best destination for him however as he would be guaranteed game time whilst playing in a team which should be successful under their new boss.

Brentford would be the most tempting team to join due to their aspirations of challenging at the top end of the table, but it would be a risk to go there, as he could find himself on the bench more often than not.

McCann knows his game and his personality. He got the best out of him before and would likely do so again, and if he plays to a high standard in the Championship then the Premier League beckons.
