Liverpool have reignited their interest in Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson, according to The Liverpool Echo.

Hull City face a battle to keep their star man following relegation to the Championship.

Andrew Robertson was one of the standout performers for the Tigers in the Premier League last season but he is being lined up by Liverpool as the long-term solution to the left-back problem.

James Milner, who is a naturally right-footed midfielder, has been filling in at left-back for the last season as it is clear that Alberto Moreno does not have a future at the club.

The Reds have been trying to offload Moreno but are standing firm on their £15m valuation.

Napoli remain interested after seeing an initial £11m bid knocked back last week.

If Liverpool can offload Moreno, then they will revisit a deal for Andrew Robertson.

The Scotland international is rated at £8m and Jurgen Klopp's side face competition from Burnley for the promising defender's services.

Liverpool have also looked at Ben Chilwell from Leicester City but have now turned their attention back to Robertson instead.

The Merseyside outfit can offer the 23-year-old Champions League football which gives them a major advantage over any other potential suitors.

Robertson might also be tempted to join Liverpool as there is a vacancy to fill at left-back, especially if Alberto Moreno leaves the club this summer.
