According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are set to continue their pursuit of Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon, and are hoping to seal a £10m deal for the teenage left-back in the summer.

Liverpool are actively looking to recruit a left-back ahead of next season, with Hull City’s Andy Robertson also on the Reds’ radar.

However, Jurgen Klopp has highlighted Sessegnon as his number one target for the summer, as he looks to solve his ongoing problem on the left-side of defence.

James Milner has featured for Liverpool at left-back for large parts of the season, with natural full-back Alberto Moreno not trusted by Klopp.

Liverpool’s chances of sealing a deal for Sessegnon, 16, have been boosted by Fulham’s play-off semi-final defeat to Reading, which will see the Cottagers competing in the Sky Bet Championship again next season.

Fulham lost 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening, which handed Slavisa Jokanovic’s side a 2-1 aggregate defeat to Reading, ending their Premier League dream.
