Liverpool favourite Robbie Fowler has lavished praise on the Sunderland documentary on Netflix entitled ‘Sunderland ‘Til I Die’ for how it’s shown how important the game is to supporters.
We’re perhaps realising the sort of release football provides of a weekend more than normal at the moment, with the game on hiatus until further notice thanks to the current global situation.
Certainly, no matter what your side’s fortunes are, you want to go and see them play week in, week out and few sides have a fanbase that have shown such loyalty compared to that of the Black Cats’ in recent years.
How much have you paid attention to Sunderland’s season?
The documentary does well to highlight that, then, and fans will be pleased to see the likes of Robbie Fowler come out and have his say on social media too.
#sunderlandtillidie is class… what football can do , what it means to people can't and should never be underestimated.

The Liverpool legend knows all too well what it means to people, having played for the Reds after growing up on Merseyside.
Revered as one of the Premier League’s most natural finishers, the former Leeds and Manchester City star had plenty of fans during his time on the pitch, and it’s not been lost on him how important the game is to the match-going supporter.
