Liverpool defender subject of interest from two English Football League clubs

It is being reported by journalist Alan Nixon that League One clubs Bolton Wanderers and Swindon Town are both in the hunt for Liverpool youngster Lloyd Jones.

The young centre back is highly rated at Liverpool although he hasn’t made an appearance for the first team as of yet, though he has experienced three loan spells away from the Premier League giants with Cheltenham Town, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool respectively.

His most recent loan spell was last season with League One Blackpool who slumped to a disappointing relegation into League Two.

He started well during his loan spell at Blackpool and was impressing, although his loan spell was cut short after he suffered an injury which sidelined him for around 6 months.

Jones is said to be desperate for another loan move to gain first team experience and would welcome a return to League One, although Bolton and Swindon may face competition from the Scottish Premier League with Aberdeen also said to be interested in the 20-year-old.

Jones has been capped at under-17 and 19 level by the Welsh national team, he then rejected a call up the under 21’s and switched allegiance to England, for whom he has played 3 times for the under 19’s and 4 times for the under 20’s.

So, Swindon fans would he be a good addition to your squad….are you confident of beating Bolton to his signature?
