In what could be the most bizarre transfer story of the summer, Wolverhampton Wanderers could beat Liverpool to the signature of Benfica starlet Anderson Talisca, according to The Sun.

Anderson Talisca has been one of the standout performers at Benfica, like Renato Sanches, Talisca has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in world football having played in the Champions League as well as the Brazilian Under 23 side.

The rumour coincides with Wolverhampton Wanderers take over which is likely to see the Midlands side taken over by a Chinese consortium.

Coincidentally, Jorge Mendes, the infamous football agent is both negotiating on behalf of Chinese Billionaire Robin Li with Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as conducting his business as Talisca's agent.

If Wolves are to sign Talisca, they will face fierce competition from Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a keen admirer in the Brazilian forward.

However, it appears the issue of work permits could add unnecessary complications to the move and instead, Wolves could steal in and circumnavigate that issue with work permits issued to the Football League being a lot more straightforward.

This summer, we could potentially see Anderson Talisca transform from a regular in the Champions League to become a regular in the Championship.
