The compensation Fulham receive from Liverpool for wonderkid Harvey Elliott will reportedly be decided by a tribunal.

Some of Europe's biggest clubs were understood to be interested in the 16-year-old but he is reported to have joined the Premier League side after rejecting a new contract at Craven Cottage.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool and Fulham have been unable to come to an agreement over a fee for the winger and it will now be decided by a tribunal.

A graduate of the Fulham academy, Elliott made his debut for the club aged 15 in the EFL Cup and became the youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League last season.

He made three senior appearances for the London club in 2018/19, featuring for a total of 27 minutes.

The 16-year-old has developed through the Fulham youth teams, making 19 appearances for the under-18s and six for the under-23s.

It is thought that Elliott will now join up with Jurgen Klopp's first team squad for pre-season training.

The Verdict

Losing Elliott will have been a blow for Fulham long-term and it must be frustrating to have been unable to negotiate a fee.

The 16-year-old was unlikely to feature much in the Championship this season but clearly has potential and could've been a future star for the Whites.

Fulham will be kicking themselves that they let his contract run down and that a free transfer to another club wasn't even a possibility.
