Liverpool’s highly-rated young playmaker Sergi Canos has reportedly agreed a deal to join Championship outlet Norwich City, according to The Independent.

The 19-year-old can play at attacking midfield or out on the wing, and has been subject to considerable interest from several Championship club, but it looks like Norwich have fought off interest from the likes of Brentford and Reading to land the Spaniard.

Canos was highly regarded by Jurgen Klopp, and after returning from his loan spell with Brentford he was eased into the first team, but the Spaniard has turned down a new contract with the Reds in the hope of getting more game time elsewhere.

Alex Neil has been interested in Canos for a while now, and after a couple of failed bids, he has finally met Liverpool’s £2.5 million asking price.

Norwich fans will be delighted at the prospect of seeing the youngster, who graduated from Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy, in the Championship next season, and will be hoping he can fire them back into the Premier League.
