The season may have ended for Leeds United but the campaign for one of their players began yesterday as Ryan Edmondson featured for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
The 19-year-old striker secured a loan move to the Dons late last week and he was named on the bench as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Rangers at Pittodrie yesterday.
Boss Derek McInnes turned to the teenager for the final 26 minutes and Edmondson made himself a nuisance, although he struggled for any real opportunities as the visitors generally dominated play.
And, any chance Aberdeen had disappeared when they were reduced to ten men with 85 minutes played.
The BBC Scotland commentary team, including an Aberdeen legend, were impressed with the glimpses they got of Ryan Edmondson today.

With the game shown live on Sky Sports, many Leeds fans tuned in to see how Edmondson played given he has been highly-rated at Elland Road and it’s fair to say most could see some positive signs, whilst he was also praised by watching pundits.
Here we look at some of the reaction from Twitter…
Edmondson heading that corner away and flattening Goldson earlier, going to bully a fair few defenders in that league #lufc

Edmondson looked sharp, come on in a tough game for debut though. #lufc

Hmmmmm just what we might need , a goalscorer . If he’s good enough he’s old enough to play for Leeds

Was alot more lively than their starting forward and put Goldson on the floor at a corner, very good for a 19 year old when his team were struggling to get out of their half
