As the end of the season looms large, Danny Cowley's Lincoln City still have hopes of a top seven finish.

Saturday's defeat at Port Vale saw them slip out of the play off spots on goal difference, but with two games in hand over their rivals they are still in control of their own destiny.

After not visiting Wembley in 133 years, they may find themselves their twice in two months with a successful play off campaign and the recent Checkatrade Trophy win.

Danny Cowley has recently affirmed his intentions to remain at Sincil Bank for the time being, but he's also underlined that he will accept no passengers on his journey, intimating that perhaps one or two players will be on their way out of the door this summer.

FLW have suggested three of the current squad who need to be moved on as the Imps start their new chapter, be it in League Two or League One.

Stewart has more Championship pedigree than most of the current Lincoln squad put together, but the experiment hasn't worked. After spending time out of the game he hoped to come back and make an impact with the Imps, but aside from a couple of crosses in their Checkatrade Trophy games, his impact has been minimal.

If Stewart really does love the game he might be better dropping down to play for a side such as Salford where he can get plenty of game time, rather than struggling to get a look in with a successful League Two side.

Knott is currently out on loan with Rochdale, but with his Imps deal up in the summer he's unlikely to play for Lincoln again. In fact, many Imps have probably already dismissed him and forgotten he's even a Lincoln player at all.

Billy Knott is such a frustrating player, he's got massive potential having come from Chelsea and Sunderland's youth systems, but he just doesn't perform when given a chance. His Football League opportunities may be drying up and he too may have to drop into non-league in order to get regular football.

Walton is a long way down the pecking order and unlikely to make the grade at City, so it must be time for him to go. Josh Vickers in the number one, but in his absence the club drafted in Ryan Allsop from Bournemouth with long-serving Paul Farman as the under study.

Walton has been on loan at Gainsborough Trinity and Cleethorpes Town this season, but with Michael Antkowiak impressing in the youth team, Walton's days are surely numbered.  A squad of 23 cannot sustain five keepers.
