Lincoln City manager Michael Appleton has confirmed that winger Bruno Andrade could be set to leave the club today, via Lincolnshire Echo journalist Mark Whiley.

The 26-year-old signed for the Imps from Boreham Wood last summer, and played an influential role in helping them win the League Two title under Danny Cowley last term.

The winger scored 11 goals and produced eight assists as the Imps steamrolled the division, but he now looks set to depart Sincil Bank imminently.

Andrade has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season - 17 of those appearances coming in League One - but was left out of the squad as they drew 1-1 with Shrewsbury at the weekend.

But with his current confirmed that Andrade could be set to leave the club today.

Can you get 16 out of 16 on this Lincoln quiz?

The Lincoln manager has confirmed that the player has received an offer that the club has been unable to match, with speculation linking Salford City with a move for the wide-man.

Lincoln sit 16th in Sky Bet League One, eight points off the play-offs and nine points clear of relegation.

The Verdict

This is a real shame for Lincoln as Andrade was so vital for them last season, but money talks nowadays.

He has been in and out of the team under Appleton this season, and they really do have competition for places in the final third which has limited his first-team opportunities.

When a club like Salford come calling, it's hard to turn them down when they offer the kind of money they tend to offer for players.
