QPR are one of a number of Championship sides interested in a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke, according to Sky Sports

The teenager spent the first half of the season on loan at his boyhood club Leeds United but was recalled due to a lack of first-team opportunities.

Sky Sports has reported that QPR are interested in taking the winger on loan for the rest of the season but may face competition from Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Stoke City.

It is understood that Spurs are keen to send the 19-year-old out on loan again but want assurances that he will be playing in the first team regularly.

Clarke joined the North London club in the summer on the back of an impressive breakthrough season at Leeds, which saw him regularly used to add attacking impetus from the bench.

So, would the teenager be a good signing for QPR and would he get in their first XI?

We discuss....

Dean Cooke

"Clarke would be a player that could add even more attacking quality to a very potent QPR side. He wouldn't necessarily be guaranteed starts but if he impressed he'd be a valuable asset to the side.

"Mark Warburton could have both Clarke and Bright Osayi-Samuel on either wing which is a dangerous combination for any Championship defence to deal with, especially with Eberechi Eze the one creating the play.

"He'd be a good signing and one that improves the overall squad and options that the R's would have on the bench but for the player, he could probably move somewhere else that would guarantee more playtime.

"QPR will still be aiming for the play-offs, especially after the last two victories, but they have to ensure that if they do sign Clarke, then they use him as they have their other youngsters."

Ned Holmes

"This is an interesting one. Clarke would be an excellent signing for QPR and likely a player that would excel in their free-flowing attacking system.

"The thought of Clarke alongside the likes of Osayi-Samuel, Eze, Ilias Chair, and Nahki Wells is scary and it would likely mean Warburton's side would likely be causing even more issues for opposition backlines than they already are.

"The issue with the move is guaranteed playtime. QPR already have a number of exciting young attacking players that know the system, so the teenager may find it difficult to break into the side straight away.

"Given the quality he showed last season, you feel he'd get there eventually but Spurs may want to send him somewhere that he will get those chances straightaway."

Ben Lang

"I think Clarke's quality means would be a good signing for most Championship sides, despite the fact he was used sparingly during his loan spell at Leeds in the first half of the campaign.

"Squad rotation will be vital if QPR are to challenge for a play-off spot in the Championship this season and this will be an important factor behind Warburton's interest in the Spurs attacker.

"However, I'm not so sure that QPR would be the best move for Clarke given the wealth of attacking players already at the club and I fear the Spurs man would only be signed as a back-up option.

"There is, of course, every chance that Clarke could break into the starting line-up, but I think this could be difficult with the likes of Osayi-Samuel, Chair, and Eze all playing well at present."
