Middlesbrough managed to fend off a late, spirited fightback from Mansfield Town yesterday afternoon, with it eventually being Boro who ensured themselves a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

A stunning strike from Uche Ikpeazu, followed by Caolan Boyd-Munce's debut goal, gave Boro a 2-0 lead inside the first 15 minutes.

Mansfield halved the deficit through Oil Hawkins in the 65th minute before parity was restored with five minutes to go when Rhys Oates converted.

In an exciting finish to the game, Mansfield John-Joe O'Toole fired into his own net, with the experienced Mansfield man unable to divert his clearance away from the target.

One player who proved his class, especially in the early stages of the tie was Uche Ikpeazu, not least with his spectacular opening goal.

Chris Wilder has given the forward the green light to find another club this month, as per a report from Football Insider.

If his performance from yesterday was anything to go by, then several Championship clubs should be battling for his signature this month as he does have a lot to give at second-tier level.

Here, we take a look at how some Middlesbrough fans have reacted on Twitter to Ikpeazu's performance in his side's 3-2 victory against the Stags yesterday afternoon...
