‘Lifetime contract’ – Plenty of Preston fans thrilled with midfielder in Huddersfield win

Preston continued their excellent October form by coming from behind to beat Huddersfield Town on Saturday – largely thanks to Alan Browne.

Alex Neil’s men have now won three of their four Championship matches this month – and the success at the John Smith’s Stadium kept up an impressive recent sequence for the Whites.

Whilst Preston have lost all of their home league matches this season, they’ve produced some simply stunning form away from Deepdale, already winning in London at Brentford and QPR before their victory over the Terriers.

However, the Whites needed two moments of brilliance in the space of three weeks to rescue the game in Yorkshire after earlier falling behind to Frazier Campbell’s eight-minute strike.

Firstly, Browne turned well before lashing into the far corner just six minutes into the second-half before capitalising on a mistake by Huddersfield goalkeeper Ben Hamer to delicately lob the ball into an empty net to complete the turnaround.

Browne has entered the final 12 months of his contract in Lancashire, but Preston fans are desperate to keep their skipper – expressing their delight towards the 25-year-old after this match winning display.
