Reading skipper Liam Moore has praised young Reading talent Michael Olise after the midfielder's display away to Leeds United on Saturday.

Olise was thrown into the starting XI at Elland Road after influential Royals midfielder Ovie Ejaria picked up an injury in the warm-up.

Moore spoke to The Reading Chronicle after the game where he said: "It wasn't ideal! I am super proud of Michael - over the last three or four months his growth as a human being first and foremost has been unbelievable.

"To get told six or seven minutes before kick off that you're starting away at Leeds in front of a packed stadium and start the way he did was fantastic.

"He's got all the talent in the world, it is about maintaining that now and kicking on."

The 18-year-old has progressed through the ranks at the Madejski Stadium and featured seven times in the Championship this season as well as playing three times in cup competitions. The youngster was also used four times in the league last season.
