BBC Sport today reports that Oldham Athletic have signed Bristol City’s Liam Kelly for an undisclosed fee on a three year deal.
The twenty four year old midfielder has decided to leave Bristol in favour of Sky Bet League 1 rivals Oldham, thereby ending an injury hit spell at City.
Kelly would appear just twice for Bristol City last time around, in those games he showed glimpses of real potential – a serious knee injury in pre-season cruelly cut his season short.
Scotland international Kelly had just one season at City since a move from Kilmarnock in 2013, going on to make twenty one appearances for the club in the total. His time in Scotland saw him come to the attention of the national team and the Milton Keynes born midfielder has turned out for Scotland for one international cap in a 2-1 win against Luxembourg in 2012.
