Marcelo Bielsa has come under criticism from some supporters across England recently, as the 'spygate' scandal continues to rumble on.

But on Wednesday evening, the Leeds boss called a press conference to talk about the subject, as well as publicising how he prepares for all matches.

His plans have certainly gone down well with Leeds supporters, many of whom will be confident that Bielsa is the man to take the Whites back into the top flight after a lengthy spell away.

Leeds captain Liam Cooper has leaped to the defence of Bielsa, and insists that he is a manager that is respected by everyone at the club.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post in a press conference ahead of Leeds' game with Stoke, Cooper was full of praise for the Leeds boss.

"As soon as he speaks to you he has you enticed. What a chance to show yourself in front of one of the best managers in the world. The lads bought into it from day one," he said.

Cooper has recently returned to the Leeds side after injury and will keep his place in the side at centre-back this weekend.

The Verdict

It's evident that Bielsa is highly regarded at Leeds.

He has taken a team that have been struggling in mid-table for the last couple of seasons and turned them into promotion favourites.

The turnaround is quite remarkable, and I'm confident in saying that Marcelo Bielsa is the man to take Leeds back into the Premier League this season.
