Sheffield Wednesday were handed their second Championship defeat of the season by Brentford last night and many Owls fans have expressed their frustration at the performance of Moses Odubajo.

Ivan Toney scored his third-consecutive brace in the league, heading home the winner five minutes after Callum Paterson’s goal had cancelled out his opener.

Brentford’s summer signing proved too much physically for Odubajo at the corner that led to the second goal, dominating the Owls defender and nodding in from the edge of the six-yard box.

With Garry Monk’s defensive options limited due to injury, the 27-year-old started as one of his three centre-backs but was found out by Toney.

A right-back or wide midfielder by trade, Odubajo has mostly been used as a wing-back in his six appearances this season but his first start as a central defender proved a difficult one.
