Both Leyton Orient and Port Vale will be hoping to end their losing runs and claim a first victory in 2022 when they meet at the Breyer Group Stadium in east London this afternoon.

The League Two pair hold promotion aspirations but have slipped down the table due to their poor recent form – with Orient having lost three on the bounce in all competitions and their visitors today having lost four in a row.

Postponements have not helped their cause, with the hosts set to play their first league match since mid-December, and both have games in hand over the teams above them but getting back to winning ways has to be a top priority with fixtures set to come thick and fast in the coming months.

That should make this afternoon's contest a tasty encounter and if the reverse fixture in October is anything to go by – a 3-2 Vale victory – we should be in for some entertainment.

Football League World will be in east London to provide coverage of the game this afternoon but here's everything you need to know ahead of kick-off.

Latest team news

O's boss Kenny Jackett cannot call on midfielder Craig Clay, who is likely to be out for the season after having surgery to solve a knee ligament issue.

Jackett has confirmed, however, that January arrivals Dan Moss and Otis Khan are both fit and available while Theo Archibald is touch and go for today's game.

The visitors will be without Dennis Politic after he was recalled by Bolton while striker Jamie Proctor will be absent despite being back in training but manager Darrel Clarke is confident that defender Connor Hall will be available despite coming off against Salford City on Tuesday night.

Vale could also be without midfielder Tom Conlon, who had a scan and saw a specialist concerning his Achilles injury this week, while goalkeeper Lucas Covolan is still suspended after being sent off in the 3-1 defeat to Swindon Town.

Is there a stream?

Due to the UK's Saturday football blackout, live video streams will only be available for overseas fans – via Orient Live.

Audio streams will be available for UK fans, again via Orient Live and Port Vale's Audio Match Pass.

What time is kick-off?

The game kicks off at 3pm at the Breyer Group Stadium in east London meaning the full team news will be available at 2pm.
