Leyton Orient considering move for Carl Baker

The Coventry Telegraph are reporting that Leyton Orient are considering a move for Coventry City’s Carl Baker.

Baker was recently removed as captain at Coventry City.
The 31 year-old right winger was recently stripped of the club’s captaincy in favour of new signing Reda Johnson. Baker is reportedly one of the highest earners at Coventry City and the club might be keen on offloading the player before his contract expires next summer.
Leyton Orient have been looking for replacements for Moses Odubajo who was recently signed by Brentford. The club have been bolstered by the recent takeover of Italian businessman Francesco Becchetti and are hoping to fund a push into the Championship.
Baker has made 160 league appearances for Coventry City since signing in January 2010 from Stockport County. The midfielder has scored 21 goals during his time with the club, however 19 of those goals have come in the past two seasons.
With Coventry City recently signing three right-footed wingers in the transfer market in the form of Jim O’Brien, Danny Swanson and Mohamed Coulibaly, it is thought that the Sky Blues have been planning for life without one of their most influential players since relegation to League One.
