Albert Adomah had a great campaign for Aston Villa in 2017/18 but could not help the club get back to the Premier League in the end.

Certainly, his performances warranted promotion but it wasn't to be, and now the club will have to consider who it moves on to keep things sound financially.

Is it time to cash-in on the winger, then? We discuss...

Alfie Burns

He’d certainly be a player I’d look to move on, as I can’t see him replicating last season’s form.

Whether Villa will get a decent fee, I’m not so sure.

After Adomah’s goalscoring form in the last 12 months, you’d say he was worth £5m at the very least, but I can see clubs taking advantage of Villa’s financial difficulties.

Jay Williams

Given their financial restrictions, if a club comes in with an eight-figure transfer fee for Adomah, it would make sense to let him go.

The speedy wide man provides such a goal threat for the Villans but they need to generate some funds and he is one of their most attractive assets.

The 30-year-old is not young anymore and he can be replaced by Andre Green or another younger player who could be signed.

Chris Gallagher

They should try to.

The reality is Villa need to raise £45m and they need to do all they can to make sure it's not Grealish that is sold.

If that means cashing in on Adomah, who is a good player, along with others, then so be it.

The reality is they may have to sell Grealish anyway, but either way, Adomah is 30 and this is probably the last time he will command a decent fee.

Ben Barkworth

Villa need money, so Adomah is one of the players who could be moved on to generate funds.

He is 30-years-old, so he is past his peak which means letting him move makes sense.
