Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has revealed that the club are already putting transfer plans in place for the summer window, with Championship and League One targets having already been identified.
The Addicks are battling to retain their Championship status following a difficult campaign which has seen their promising start descend into a relegation battle, with Bowyer's side currently sitting 19th in the second-tier table with 13 games left to play.
Charlton now face a crucial clash against relegation rivals Luton at The Valley this coming weekend, but Bowyer has now claimed that the Addicks are already making plans for the summer regardless of which division they will be in next term.
Speaking to London News Online, Bowyer said Charlton will be more prepared than in previous summers, while he shared that the club has already compiled a list of targets for the eventuality of them playing in the Championship or League One.
“Going on past seasons we haven’t really done too much in the summer – it’s always been towards the end [of the window that deals got done],” said Bowyer.
“We’ll know before the end of the season what’s going on – we will have plans for if we’re in the Championship or in League One
