Sheffield United defender Chris Basham is focused on a last-gasp showdown with Leeds United in the race for a place amongst the country's elite, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The two sides are battling it out for the right to play in the Premier League and along with Norwich, seem to be embroiled in a three-horse race for the two automatic promotion slots.

They meet at Elland Road next week in a possible decider, with Basham claiming he's got one eye on that game.

There's still a lot of football to be played and much could happen before next Saturday. The Blades play Rotherham this weekend, then have a tricky tie with Brentford before the showdown with Marcelo Bielsa's Whites.

Leeds travel to promotion hopefuls Bristol City, then relegation haunted Reading before they get a chance to face off against their Yorkshire rivals. It's going to be a thrilling climax to the season and a crucial ten days or so in the race for promotion.

Plenty of Leeds United fans have responded to Basham's claims, confident that they'll drop points before rocking up at Elland Road. It's certainly going to the wire, but these fans seem confident.
