Hull City suffered their first defeat under Leonid Slutsky on Tuesday after going down 3-2 at home to Wolves in the Championship.

The former CSKA Moscow and Russia boss saw his side draw 1-1 at Aston Villa in his first match in charge before securing his first win by beating Burton Albion 4-1 last weekend, but they were stopped in their tracks by Nuno Espirito Santo’s impressive Wolves on Tuesday night.

Ruben Neves’ stunner gave the visitors the lead at the KCOM Stadium before Michael Dawson hit back, only for Diogo Jota and Nouha Dicko to open up a two-goal lead for Nuno’s men, with David Meyler’s late penalty not enough to prevent the Tigers suffering their first defeat of the season.

The 24-year-old moved to the King Power Stadium last summer but mustered just four goals for the club last season, and his exclusion from their matchday squad against Arsenal last week has further plunged his future into doubt.

And Hull boss Slutsky has recently refused to rule out a move for the Nigeria international this summer, which is news that has stimulated quite a response from Tigers supporters on Twitter…
