West Bromwich Albion might have won their first game of the season this past weekend, but they still need strengthening during this loan window.

The Baggies are yet to keep a clean sheet this season having conceded five goals in three games.

This past Saturday, Darren Moore’s side were triumphant in a seven-goal thriller at Carrow Road, beating Norwich 4-3.

An opening day defeat to Bolton Wanderers and a one-all draw with Nottingham Forest preceded Saturday’s win.

Conceding goals regularly so far will be a concern for the Hawthorns boss who will look to further strengthen his side before the loan deadline passes on August 31.

The West Brom boss will be hoping to further bolster his side as they look to challenge towards the top of the division for the rest of the campaign.

With that in mind, here are three loan signings that manager Moore should look to push through as a matter of urgency this week before the next round of Championship games on Saturday.

West Bromwich Albion have failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season, and with want-away defender Craig Dawson still missing for the Baggies, a defensive recruit is needed.

Ward is down the pecking order at Selhurst Park with his Palace days seemingly numbered.

The arrival of the defender would bring more Premier League quality to the Hawthorns and ideally sure up a leaky defence in order to keep clean sheets and build from the back if they are to challenge this season.

Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriquez are proven goalscorers in the Championship, but you will need more goals in the second-tier if they are to challenge towards the top of the league.

Conner Wickham is in need of first-team football after a long injury lay-off and challenging for promotion with West Brom could be what Darren Moore’s side needs.

He is a different threat the two mentioned before, a more physical striker who will give the Baggies a different dimension; it is a loan that the club should look to seal as soon as possible.

The Peterborough man is still set for a move away from London Road before the August 31 deadline for loan signings.

He is a player with immense ability and creativity and would add to the Baggies blend of youth and experience.

Imagine a duo of Maddison, who can play in the middle, down the wing or behind the striker and young loanee Harvey Barnes - that would be some pairing

He would add goals and assists aplenty for a West Brom side who would possibly lack a cutting edge in the midfielder should Barnes get injured.
