Leeds United moved to the top of the Championship table with a 4-0 thrashing of relegation-threatened Middlesbrough at Elland Road on Saturday.

Goals from Patrick Bamford, Helder Costa and a brace from Mateusz Klich saw Marcelo Bielsa's side run out convincing winners.

But they might not remain top of the table for very long, with West Brom having the opportunity to move ahead of Leeds if they are to beat Preston North End at Deepdale on Monday evening.

It's set to be a closely fought battle between the two sides as they look to make a timely return to the Premier League, which Leeds will feel is long overdue.

The Whites are currently sat five points clear of third-placed Fulham and will be keen to pull further away in the race for promotion heading into the festive period.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful have recently issued their thoughts on the best possible result between Preston and West Brom on Monday.

See the best of the reaction from Facebook below....

Dave Deeks: "Draw is the best result."

Andrew Kaye: "Yes agree putting Preston back would be better."

Kev Smith: "Just do what we need to do and forget about the rest to be honest. In Bielsa we trust."

Callum Russell: "A Preston win for me all day long."

Luke Redmile: "Prefer West Brom winning to get a big gap, let us walk away with it."

Sean Woodward: "We want West Brom winning let us and them make a huge gap from the rest."

Andy Kite: "As much as I'd love to see Preston give the baggies a thrashing, I think I'd rather concentrate on our own efforts. Masters of our own destiny and all that."

Darren MacPherson: "As long as we’re ahead of 3rd place, might be good for WBA to lose, knock their confidence, let them battle it out with the pack."

Karia Ian: "Not bothered by other results. All teams hate us, so we should focus on our results only."
