Bristol City have recently been linked with a move for QPR striker Nahki Wells, who is currently on loan at the club from Premier League side Burnley.

The Daily Telegraph's Mike McGrath is reporting that the Robins are keen on the striker again after failing to land him in the summer, as Lee Johnson's hunt for another striker to join the ranks at Ashton Gate continues.

Wells netted nine in 45 appearances last season while at QPR, and he rejoined the side on loan again this summer, going on to score 14 goals in 28 games so far this season as his form has shocked most fans at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

The Robins have been searching for a new striker across the past six months, as the signing of Benik Afobe seemed astute at the time and the experienced striker got off to a good start at Ashton Gate, before rupturing his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in September.

Johnson brought in the 29-year-old Rodri on a free transfer, however he failed to net in six appearances before being released last week, and the Robins missed out on the long-term targets of Rhian Brewster and Eddie Nketiah.
