Derby owner Mel Morris has suggested that Leeds United's failure to win promotion last season may have been down to the 'Spygate' controversy that came up in January.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa admitted to sending a club employee to watch the Rams train ahead of the sides meeting at Elland Road earlier this year after the person involved was caught.

That prompted the club to apologise and the Argentinian then revealed that he had done the same all season up to that point.

Therefore, it was a big story in the press and Morris highlighted how Leeds' form appeared to suffer from that point, revealing that they had gone from averaging two points a game to less than 1.6 when speaking on TalkSPORT earlier today.

As you would expect, most supporters of the Yorkshire club dismissed the idea that it played a part, instead focusing on the injuries that the side picked up.

And, they also didn't understand why this topic had been revisited by Morris now.

Here's some of the reaction to his comments...
