Derby County have been somewhat quiet in the transfer window compared to some of their fellow Championship clubs.
So far, there have been four arrivals at Pride Park whilst talented players Tom Ince and Will Hughes, as well as a few other, have gone the other way.
Gary Rowett initially didn’t hang around in the transfer window, bringing in Curtis Davies and Andre Wisdom fairly early on, before Tom Huddlestone joined during pre-season. However, it’s been clear to see that deals are frustratingly taking longer to agree than the club would like.
Indeed, following several weeks of speculation, Tom Lawrence was finally announced as the Rams’ fourth signing this week.
The Rams’ squad isn’t fully complete yet, a couple more good signings are needed and several fringe players could also be offloaded before the deadline. A midweek win over Preston and a decent performance from the team has lifted the mood around Pride Park and fans are hopeful that Rowett can bring in the required players for fair transfer fees.
Here are TWO deals that Derby should get done before the window shuts…
