Wolves have been hugely impressive this season, and it looks like they are set for a prolonged spell in the top-flight this time round.
One man that was key in firing them back into the Premier League was Leo Bonatini, who netted 12 goals in the title-winning campaign last season.
But the striker was surprisingly sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he hasn’t endured the best of spells at the City Ground.
Bonatini took to Instagram to reminisce on when he won the title with Wolves just over a year ago to the day.
Bonatini signed for Forest in January on loan until the end of the season, but he has been restricted to just a handful of appearances for the Reds.
In fact, the Brazilian has made just two starts in total for Nottingham Forest, and he’s certainly won’t be satisfied with his current game time for the club.
It looks likely that he’ll return to Wolves in the summer upon the conclusion of his loan spell, and it’ll be an interesting summer for Bonatini, as he fights for a place in their squad for next year’s league campaign.
This will seem like a distant memory for Bonatini.
He’s hardly had a sniff of action since joining Nottingham Forest, and it’s certainly been a loan spell to forget for the striker.
He’ll be hoping to do all he can to stake a claim for a spot in the Wolves squad when he returns in the summer, in which could be a make or break period for Bonatini.
