Former Premier League Champions Leicester City will play the waiting game with regards to the potential signing of Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen.

The youngster has been in superb form this season for the Tigers, smashing in 22 goals and attracting plenty of admiring glances from the top flight along the way.

However, according to the Hull Daily Mail, Brendan Rodgers and the Foxes will not rush any move for Bowen, after being told to pay a premium price for the Hull star if they do indeed wish to capture him.

Leicester have already considered making a bid in the region of £15m for the youngster, but as yet have not come forward with anything concrete to prize away Bowen.

Hull will be perfectly aware that they face an uphill struggle to keep hold of Bowen after such an excellent season, but they will also be well aware that they can hold out for big money with the Premier League having such riches these days.

Bowen will no doubt be tempted by any move to the Premier League and he could well yet force the club's hand if he decides to force through a move away from the KCom.

The Tigers had a decent enough season under Nigel Adkins but fell well short in the end of making the top six after threatening to challenge for the play-off places following an excellent run earlier in the year.

The Verdict

Hull are right to slap the big bucks on Bowen and if someone wants him then they'll simply have to pay it.

He's a top talent and one of the best outside the Premier League in all honesty.

He'd also be a good fit for Leicester, so if they do indeed want him, then they need to stump up the cash.
