The 35-year old former England international has joined the Premier League newcomers on a one-year deal and will add some vital experience for the squad.
He has been at Brighton for the past two years having permanently joined the club from Stoke City on a free transfer following a highly successful loan spell. During his time at the club he made 67 appearances whilst scoring three times.
Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has signed the defender to add experience to his squad and to challenge for the first team. It is thought that he will feature often as the club do currently lack centre-backs with experience.
