Leicester City defender James Justin has said he keeps an eye out for Luton Town's results "every week" ahead of the two sides' meeting in the Carabao Cup tonight.

Justin signed for Leicester from Luton back in June for a fee which could rise to £8million, and he could now line up against his boyhood club after the two sides were drawn to face each other in a third-round tie.

The 21-year-old has not made it off the bench for the Foxes so far this term, which means he has not made a competitive club appearance since the final day of last season when Luton celebrated promotion to League One against Oxford United.

However, the right-back could now make his Foxes bow back at Kenilworth Road and he expressed his excitement at this prospect when speaking in an interview.

"I’m buzzing. It’s just nice to see a lot of old faces and hopefully I can get on the pitch and show what I can do," he told the Leicester City club website.

Justin made 114 appearances for Luton before sealing his move away from the club, and the England U21 international was then asked whether he still follows his former side's results.

"Every week when I come in," he said. "I’ve got the notifications on my phone still, just making sure I know what's happening and never forgetting where I’ve come from.

"They’ve done alright and I would expect them to do even better in the coming weeks as they gel as a group, but they’re a good team."

The Verdict

Justin was a fans' favourite at Kenilworth Road given that he worked his way up through the club's academy system, and supporters will surely enjoy seeing him back at the club tonight.

It is quite the coincidence that Justin's first appearance for his new club might well come at the home of his former club, but he will relish this opportunity and it may even allow him to feel more comfortable.

This will be a difficult match for Leicester as it will not be easy for them to travel to a ground as compact as Kenilworth Road and play their usual game, but Justin may be able to provide a calm head in Brendan Rodgers' side.

It should be an interesting game and I will be surprised if Justin does not make his full Leicester debut.
