Bournemouth's fight to keep hold of Arnaut Danjuma looks to be getting harder by the day.

The Cherries endured a disappointing season in the end after failing to secure automatic promotion and then falling short in the play-offs.

As a result the club are gearing up for another campaign in the Championship and that means that keeping hold of their star man could be incredibly difficult indeed.

Reports from the Daily Mail have claimed that Leicester City have joined the race for Danjuma.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a wonderful season on an individual basis after scoring 17 goals and creating eight more in all competitions.

Danjuma has previously been linked with a move to West Ham United and Southampton but could now have a number of options with Brendan Rodgers' side joining the hunt alongside Wolfsburg and Lyon who are also said to be keen.

In an ideal world Bournemouth would like to keep hold of the player, but the report claims that the Cherries may be forced to sell one of their big stars as a result of missing out on an immediate return to the Premier League.

The verdict

This would be a great move for Arnaut Danjuma.

After missing out on promotion it seems very likely that the player will be moving on this summer with such a wealth of interest in his services.

Leicester City would offer him a great opportunity to kick on due to their attacking style and the fact that they'll be competing in next term's Europa League.

I think that Danjuma would be a great fit and so this could be one to watch.
