Leicester City have opened talks with Norwich City about the potential transfer of the Republic of Ireland international, Robbie Brady, according to the Leicester Mercury.
The Premier League champions had been linked with a move for Robbie Brady however that interest has now properly materialised, with Claudio Ranieri reportedly keen on bringing Brady to the King Power stadium.
Robbie Brady’s excellent performances in France at the European Championships with a memorable goal to secure the Republic of Ireland a win against Italy, and his calmness and composure to score a penalty against France will have done him no harm and it now appears that Leicester City are ready to negotiate a deal for the 24-year-old winger.
Following Norwich City’s relegation back to the Championship, it may be difficult for Alex Neil to keep the squad together and to keep the prize assets at the club one of which is Robbie Brady.
Robbie Brady was one of a few stand out performers in Norwich’s lone season in the Premier League and the potential opportunity to play for the Premier League champions, and in the Champions League, may be too much for him to turn down.
It is yet to be seen how successful the negotiations are but it is looking likely that Robbie Brady will leave this summer with Leicester City, a potential destination.
