Huddersfield Town completed the signing of Danny Simpson on a one-year deal on Friday afternoon.

Simpson has been a free-agent since he left Leicester City at the end of last season, where he spent a number of seasons with the Foxes, which included a Premier League title win.

The experienced full-back took to Twitter following his move, and expressed his delight at finding a new club for this year's campaign.

He'll be keen to make up for lost time, having been released by Leicester upon the expiration of his contract at the end of last year's campaign.

Huddersfield have struggled in their first season back in the Championship, and currently occupy one of the relegation places in the league table after not winning a singe one of their opening eight league games.

Simpson could be in line to make his debut for the Terriers, when they are next in action against Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

Plenty of Leicester City supporters took to social media to wish Simpson well with his new club.
